چکیده
Introduction Several studies investigated the role of inflammation in etiopathogenesis psychiatric disorders, by also evaluating how CRP may exert a pathoplastic and/or psychopatological mood disorders. Objectives The aim our cross-sectional study is high-sensitivity C-reactive-protein (hsCRP) levels cohort unipolar and bipolar depressive inpatients, relation with psychopathological, temperamental chronotype features. Methods Among 313 screened we recruited 133 moderate-to-severe patients who were assessed for hsCRP levels, Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) affective temperament Temperament Evaluation Memphis, Pisa, Paris San Diego (TEMPS). Results significantly higher among those previous suicide attempt (p=0.05), death (p=0.018) self-harm/self-injury thoughts (p=0.011). In addition, hypertension (p=0.020) dyslipidemia (p=0.013). Moreover, positive correlation found between number illness years (p<0.001). Significant (p<0.001) cyclothymic temperaments, while negative correlations reported hypertimic irritable (p=0.029) temperaments. Eveningness chronotypes subject displayed compared to intermediate-type morningness-type Linear regression analyses, adjusted all covariates, demonstrated that scores at TEMPS-M depressive, lower hyperthymic temperaments [F=88.955, R 2 =0.710, p<0.001] MEQ [F=75.456, =0.405, statistically predicted hsCRP. Conclusions appeared be associated during depression. Further longitudinal larger should better characterise disorders investigating influence temperament. Disclosure Interest None Declared

Nightmares associated with the eveningness chronotype.
Relations between common nightmares and chronobiological factors remain poorly understood. The possibility that nightmare frequency and distress are associated with chronotype ("morningness-eveningness") was investigated in a sample of respondents to an Internet questionnaire. Over a 4(1/2)-year period, a total of 3978 subjects (mean age = 26.5 +/- 11.6 yrs; age range = 10-69; 2933 female, 1045...
متن کاملCognitions in bipolar affective disorder and unipolar depression: imagining suicide
OBJECTIVE Bipolar disorder has the highest rate of suicide of all the psychiatric disorders. In unipolar depression, individuals report vivid, affect-laden images of suicide or the aftermath of death (flashforwards to suicide) during suicidal ideation but this phenomenon has not been explored in bipolar disorder. Therefore the authors investigated and compared imagery and verbal thoughts relate...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Seasonality and Chronotype in Unipolar Mania vs. Bipolar Affective Disorder
Background: The identification of differences in seasonality and chronotype may provide useful information regarding unipolar mania as a distinct entity. Therefore, the present study was planned to compare seasonality and chronotype in patients with unipolar mania and bipolar disorder. Method: A cross-sectional study included 60 euthymic outpatients, 30 affected by bipolar affective disorder (b...
متن کاملBipolar and unipolar depression.
Since Kraepelin grouped affective disorders under the title of 'manic-depressive insanity', there has been controversy over whether the bipolar and unipolar entities within this are distinct affective disorders or whether they are merely two ends of an affective continuum. In order to bring some clarity and goal-posts to this argument, we define the criteria that must be fulfilled by diseases i...
متن کاملDifferent temperament and character dimensions correlate with panic disorder comorbidity in bipolar disorder and unipolar depression.
BACKGROUND This study aimed to investigate temperament and character correlates of panic disorder (PD) comorbidity in euthymic patients with bipolar disorder (BD) or unipolar depression (UD). METHODS Temperament and character were assessed using the Temperament and Character Inventory Revised (TCI-R) in 181 patients (70 patients with BD-I, 51 patients with BD-II and 60 with UD) in a euthymic ...
